Required Price = Fixed Costs ÷ (1 − Percentage Fees − Target Margin)
This works when the entered platform, creator and payment fees scale as percentages of selling price. More complex market-specific fee bases should be checked with the dedicated US or UK calculator.
Compare up to 100 products with net profit, margin, break-even price, and target selling price. Works in Excel and can be imported into Google Sheets.
The calculator above is designed for sellers who know their costs but are unsure what price is required. Enter COGS, fulfillment or shipping cost, TikTok platform or referral fee percentage, creator commission, any other payment percentage, a fixed per-order fee and the net margin you want to keep. The tool calculates both the mathematical break-even price and the higher target price that preserves your selected margin.
Quick US and UK presets provide starting platform-fee assumptions, but every percentage stays editable. TikTok Shop fees differ by market, product category, seller incentives and policy changes. Use the dedicated US or UK calculator when you need market-specific discount, refund or settlement logic rather than a simplified pricing model.
This formulation works when the entered percentage costs scale with selling price. It is deliberately a planning model. Market-specific fee bases can include discounts, shipping amounts, refunds or taxes that require a more detailed settlement calculation. The denominator must stay above zero; otherwise no finite selling price can satisfy the entered percentages and margin.
Suppose COGS is $12, fulfillment is $4, the platform fee is 6%, creator commission is 15%, there is no additional payment percentage, the fixed per-order cost is $0.30 and you want a 20% net margin. Fixed costs total $16.30 and percentage fees total 21%. Break-even price is about $20.63. To preserve a 20% margin, the required target price rises to about $27.63, with roughly $5.53 of target profit.
| TikTok Shop reference | Current planning rate | Use in calculator |
|---|---|---|
| US most categories | 6% referral fee | US quick preset; confirm exact category |
| US selected categories | 5% or special tier rules | Enter the rate that applies in Seller Center |
| UK standard | 9% commission, inclusive of applicable taxes | UK quick preset |
| UK specified categories | Effective 5% category-level rate where eligible | Use only if the product qualifies |
Creator commission can have a larger pricing effect than the marketplace fee itself. At a 15% creator rate, every extra $10 of selling price adds about $1.50 of creator cost before other percentage fees. Model the actual affiliate rate you intend to offer rather than treating it as a fixed platform charge.
The calculator adds fixed per-order costs and solves for the selling price after percentage platform, creator and payment fees. Break-even uses a zero target margin; target price adds the margin you choose.
TikTok Shop US currently lists 6% for most categories, with 5% and special tier treatment for some categories. Verify the current category rate in Seller Center.
TikTok Shop UK states a standard 9% commission rate inclusive of applicable taxes, with an effective 5% category-level rate available for specified Electronics and Beauty & Personal Care categories. Verify eligibility.
If percentage fees plus the target margin equal or exceed 100%, the formula has no positive denominator. Reduce the target margin or fee assumptions before solving for price.
