FBT Rate Card & FAQ ↗Compare up to 100 products with net profit, margin, break-even price, and target selling price. Works in Excel and can be imported into Google Sheets.
The calculator above combines package dimensions, actual weight and order economics. Enter length, width, height and actual weight to estimate dimensional and chargeable weight, then enter units per order, selling price, COGS, the FBT fee per unit, your alternative 3PL or self-fulfillment cost, referral fee and creator commission. The sticky summary compares FBT profit with the alternative fulfillment profit and shows how packaging can change the chargeable weight that determines the fee tier.
Fulfilled by TikTok rates are not one flat fee. TikTok Shop US updates its rate card by weight tier, unit count and program conditions. The tool therefore asks you to enter the actual fee from the current rate card instead of hard-coding every tier. That keeps the profit comparison usable after policy changes.
TikTok's current FBT guidance says units with actual weight at or below 2 lb and volume at or below 332 cubic inches use actual weight. If either threshold is exceeded, chargeable weight is the greater of actual or dimensional weight. This matters for light but bulky packaging because dimensional weight can move the product into a higher fulfillment tier.
Assume a 10 × 8 × 4 inch parcel weighing 1.5 lb. Volume is 320 cubic inches, so it stays under the 332 cubic-inch threshold and actual weight is used under the current rule. If the item sells for $35, COGS is $12, the entered FBT fee is $5.20, the alternative 3PL cost is $6.50, referral fee is 6% and creator commission is 10%, FBT profit is about $12.20 before other costs, while the alternative fulfillment profit is about $10.90. The $1.30 difference comes from the fulfillment-cost assumption.
| FBT 2026 item | Current official treatment | Modeling action |
|---|---|---|
| ≤2 lb and ≤332 in³ | Actual weight used | Check both thresholds |
| Other eligible parcels | Greater of actual or dimensional weight | Use dimensional divisor 166 |
| Fulfillment fee | Varies by weight tier and units per order | Enter current rate-card fee |
| Returns / storage / value-added services | Separate fees may apply | Review outside the base per-order comparison |
TikTok expanded the U.S. FBT rate card to support eligible items up to 150 lb from July 13, 2026, and has separate return, storage and optional service charges. A lower base fulfillment fee does not guarantee lower fully loaded logistics cost, so compare the additional charges relevant to your inventory profile.
For many shipments, chargeable weight depends on actual and dimensional weight. TikTok states that for units at or below 2 lb and at or below 332 cubic inches, actual weight alone applies; otherwise dimensional weight can matter.
The calculator uses length × width × height divided by 166, matching TikTok Shop US FBT guidance for dimensional-weight calculations.
