Fee assumptions were checked against TikTok Shop's official US Seller Terms and category referral-fee table.
Compare up to 100 products with net profit, margin, break-even price, and target selling price. Works in Excel and can be imported into Google Sheets.
The calculator separates product economics from marketplace and marketing costs. Selling price is reduced by COGS, fulfillment, referral fee, creator commission, any applicable payment or PSP cost, returns reserve, packaging, other costs, allocated creator samples, and paid advertising. Keeping each cost visible makes it easier to see whether a weak result comes from product sourcing, fulfillment, creator economics, or acquisition cost.
ROI uses profit divided by COGS, fulfillment, packaging, other direct cost, and allocated samples. The referral-fee base is separately editable because TikTok’s seller terms and settlement mechanics can depend on the amount paid and applicable adjustments. Always reconcile the model with Seller Center statements.
Assume a $30 selling price and referral-fee base, $9 COGS, $3.50 fulfillment, a 6% referral fee, 10% creator commission, $5 ad CPA, an 8% return rate with $10 average loss on a return, $0.50 packaging, $0.30 other cost, and $0.50 of creator-sample cost allocated to each order. Payment/PSP fees are left at zero unless your account shows an applicable charge. The modeled non-ad cost is $19.40 and total cost is $24.40. That leaves $5.60 profit, an 18.7% margin, break-even CPA of $10.60, and break-even ROAS of about 2.83×.
| TikTok Shop US example | Current referral treatment |
|---|---|
| Most listed categories | 6% |
| Specified jewelry sub-categories | 5% |
| Many pre-owned categories | 5% |
| Certain high-value collectibles / pre-owned sales | Tiered; 3% on the applicable portion above $10,000 |
Creator commissions and paid ads should be modeled separately because they represent different acquisition channels and can overlap on the same product. If an order was generated by an affiliate creator and also supported by paid media, include both costs when they actually apply. That prevents a high gross margin from hiding a weak post-marketing contribution margin.

TikTok Shop’s current US category table lists 6% for most categories, with some categories at 5% and special tier treatment for certain high-value categories. Use the category rate shown for your product.
No. Creator commission is a separate seller cost when you use affiliate creators. Model it independently from the marketplace referral fee and from advertising spend.
It is selling price divided by the maximum ad CPA the order can absorb after non-ad costs. If actual ROAS falls below this modeled threshold, the scenario would move below break-even.
Include them when they apply to your store or enrolled products. TikTok programs can add costs beyond the standard referral fee, so use the Other Cost field or adjust the model using your current Seller Center settlement data.
